Peterson is Free!

 

I’m just back from another incredible week at St. Damien’s Pediatric hospital in Haiti, where I worked as an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist (UZIT). Read Keely Garfield’s full report here. When I went for the first time, in December, I met Peterson, a charismatic, feisty 12-year old boy who took our children’s yoga class. He was chained to a big oxygen concentrator that needs to stay plugged into the wall for electricity.

His Current Oxygen Concentrator is Big And Needs To Stay Plugged In

I am just back from Haiti where I volunteered at St. Damien’s Pediatric Hospital which serves the the poorest of the poor. See also my post on Father Rick who runs the organization.

Saving Starfish: Father Rick at St. Damien’s Hospital in Haiti

 

In early December, I volunteered for a week as an Urban Zen Integrative Therapists (UZIT) at St. Damien’s Pediatric Hospital in Haiti. Gillian Cilibrasi, Mitten Wainwright, Liz Lattuga, and I taught yoga to the staff and a handful of the sick children.
