JANERA curates conversations. We speak to a generation of active participants in our ever-changing world who are a mix of urban, educated, interested, and influential individuals. By successfully straddling the space between the online social media and offline live events, we occupy a unique position.
We have taken global subjects like Health & Wellness, Technology, Immigration, Transportation, and Global Capitalism out of academic and activist circles making these subjects attractive and accessible to a larger audience. Our events have been held in different cities and streamed online on FORA.TV.
For our clients, we design and produce programs which include high-profile fundraisers, provocative debates, smart salons, concerts, private screenings, and intimate dinners with world-renowned speakers.
Depending on the desires of the client, we enhance the intellectual with poetry, dance, art, and music. The team also oversees the production of all media related to the events, including written reviews, photography, live-streaming, and video.

Every once in a while I produce an event for a client which I think may be of interest to you too. I’m now working on the Kick-Off Fundraiser for the KARPOV2010 Campaign. The goal of this campaign is to elect the twelfth world chess champion, Anatoly Karpov, as President of the World Chess Federation (FIDE). The party will take place on Monday May 17th at the Trump Soho in New York.
JANERA’s recent event, “Haiti’s Reconstruction & the Geopolitical Implications of a Permanent U.S. Presence,” buzzed with curiosity, invested interest, heartfelt concern and a commitment to rebuilding the earthquake-devastated country.
On Friday February 19, 2010, MacDella Cooper, founder of the The MacDella Cooper Foundation, is teaming up with fashion icon Nolé Marin, Social Life Magazine Editor-in-Chief Devorah Rose and Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva to co-host a night of music and glamour to benefit orphan education in Africa. Camfed‘s World AIDS Day premiere of “Where the Water Meets the Sky” (currently airing on Sundance) was a memorable evening. Guests started streaming in to the Paley Center for New Media around 6PM for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres (the caterer, Chef & Co., was superb) and the movie began at 6:30.
