On Friday February 19, 2010, MacDella Cooper, founder of the The MacDella Cooper Foundation, is teaming up with fashion icon Nolé Marin, Social Life Magazine Editor-in-Chief Devorah Rose and Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva to co-host a night of music and glamour to benefit orphan education in Africa. The event will kick off with an exclusive runway show by breakthrough designer Melani Von Alexandria, followed by a live text auction and silent auction, with DJ Tyger Lilly, the hottest and most fashionable DJ in NYC spinning tunes throughout the night. Camfed Event Celebrates African Women Filmmakers
December 28th, 2009 by HannahCamfed‘s World AIDS Day premiere of “Where the Water Meets the Sky” (currently airing on Sundance) was a memorable evening. Guests started streaming in to the Paley Center for New Media around 6PM for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres (the caterer, Chef & Co., was superb) and the movie began at 6:30.
