I am just back from Haiti where I volunteered at St. Damien’s Pediatric Hospital which serves the the poorest of the poor. See also my post on Father Rick who runs the organization.
One of the patients is Peterson, a boy who lives at St. Damien’s because he is chained to an oxygen concentrator. It’s a big machine which needs to stay plugged into electricity.
He’s mischievous, funny, and really smart.
As a New Year’s gift I would like us to pool resources, and donate to the campaign I created on Crowdrise. We’re buying him a portable, battery operated, oxygen concentrator, which costs about $3,500.
Please contribute to giving Peterson the gift of movement, so that in 2012 he can go out and play!
Let’s make this happen before the end of the year, and please donate here.
Peterson will be forever grateful!
Have wonderful holidays and I wish you and your families all the best for 2012!
Warmest, Janera
